The enrollment and registration process for the Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Schools for Down Syndrome aims to be transparent, clear, and comprehensive. In an effort to keep parents as informed as possible, this section lays out all aspects of this process in detail.
Should you have any additional queries, please contact our in-house social worker during working hours (Sun - Thurs from 7:30am to 2:00pm) on +966920029522. If you have questions about the educational programs, please ask to speak to the educational supervisor that is responsible for your child's age group.
Down syndrome is a prerequisite for acceptance.
Our Enrollment Process

The Registration Process
The final decision will be issued within one week from the visit. Please note that the educational team bases their decision on how well-suited the program is to the child's needs and capabilities.
If accepted, you will receive a registration packet consisting of:
- Registration Form
- Copy of the family card
- Passport sized photos of the student
- The student’s medical report confirming a Down syndrome diagnosis
- The student’s immunization records
- Any other medical reports relating to health conditions the student may have
- Home address and map
- Pledge to cooperate with the school
- Photography consent form
All the above information will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
We do our best to accommodate as many children as we can without sacrificing the quality of the educational program. We strictly adhere to a 9 student limit per classroom.
Should there be no spaces available at your child’s age level, you will be given the option of placing him or her on the waiting list. We fill open spots as they become available over the course of each school year.
While we fully empathize with parents whose children have been on the waiting list for years, please understand that our ability to accept more students is limited by space constraints at our current schools and a lack of financial resources for expansion. We are working on solving this problem by building more schools (read about Our Strategy). To help us achieve this goal, please Donate.
The waiting list is filled on a first come first serve basis BY AGE. Therefore, if a spot opens up in a different age group than your child is in, it is possible that another child who registered later will receive that spot. Age appropriate classrooms are a fundamental part of our curriculum that we cannot negotiate.
The tuition per student is 60,000 riyals annually.
The above amount reflects the costs of small classroom sizes (average student - teacher ratio of 3:1), the use of specialists in physical and speech therapy as well as the cost of preparing and administering individual educational plans and materials for each student customized to his or her individual abilities.
For all students over the age of 2 years who are registered with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, please note that there is an agreement in place whereby their educational costs will be covered by the Ministry.
For more information about the tuition, please contact us.
The Saut Scholarship Program
For those students who are not covered by the tuition agreement with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, we do offer scholarships. In all cases, we follow a need-blind admission policy. This means that an applicant’s ability to pay for an education is not a factor in the admission decision. In other words, financial need is not taken into consideration when deciding to admit or wait list an applicant.
Upon admission, a family may apply for financial aid through our scholarship program. In order to learn more about this process, please contact us and ask to speak to the Social Worker.
Thank you for considering the Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Schools for Down Syndrome for your child. We appreciate your confidence in us.
