Senior Public Relations Manager

General Job Description

Managing the organization’s media exposure and consistently articulating its vision and mission to potential donors and to the general public.


  • Develop and review content for print, electronic and social media to communicate information to members, volunteers, and parents
  • Create official press kit and build media contact database, thereby raising the society’s visibility within the community
  • Develop, plan, and implement lectures and other fundraising events
  • Generate news releases and communicate to media vendors
  • Prepare and provide talking points to appropriate staff and volunteers for interviews across all media formats
  • Manage and mentor volunteers and update their training materials
  • Respond to sensitive issue inquiries as needed
  • Work with departments to identify ways to use messaging to increase and retain membership
  • Support marketing and public relations efforts through research and analysis
  • Assist in the production of a magazine/newsletter
  • Accept additional duties and responsibilities as directed



  • Bachelors in Communications/Public Relations. 3+ years of accomplished communications experience within a nonprofit entity is a plus
  • Fluent in Arabic/English
  • Experienced in writing and distributing press releases and organizing press conferences
  • Strong media contacts and public speaking skills
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
